Soundtrace founder and CEO Jeff Wilson has been named a finalist for the inaugural StartupCincy Innovator of the Year award, recognizing him alongside four other Greater Cincinnati founders building category-defining technology companies.
The StartupCincy Innovator of the Year award, presented by Western & Southern Financial Group, honors the top founder pushing boundaries with a breakthrough product, service, or technology. The first annual StartupCincy Awards will take place on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at Union Hall in Cincinnati, and recognize founders, startups, small businesses, and ecosystem leaders shaping Greater Cincinnati's entrepreneurial future.
About the recognition
Jeff founded Soundtrace in January 2021 to give industrial employers a modern, defensible way to run their OSHA-required hearing conservation programs in-house. Under his leadership, Soundtrace has grown from a Cincinnati-based startup into a hearing-conservation platform serving manufacturers, construction, and logistics operators across the United States — replacing the once-a-year mobile audiometric van model with a year-round in-house testing system that consolidates audiometric records, automates recordkeeping, and dramatically compresses program implementation timelines.
The other 2026 StartupCincy Innovator of the Year finalists are Aaron Chow (Vixiv), Rafael Garcia (Kernel), Tsavo Knott (Pieces), and Yael Katz (Simbryo).
Cincinnati has been an extraordinary place to build Soundtrace. Being recognized alongside this group of founders — and by an ecosystem that genuinely backs technical, mission-driven companies — means a lot to our team and to the customers who have trusted us to modernize their hearing conservation programs.
